# Activity log

The activity log is the record of every change made in an organization: who made it, when, and to what. It lives in **Organization settings → Activity log** and covers every app in the organization.

The activity log is included on the **Enterprise** tier. Seeing it takes the **Audit logs: view** permission (see [Permissions](/customer-permissions)); owners and admins have it by default.

## What is recorded

Every successful change made through the platform lands in the log, whichever way it was made:

* **The dashboard**: team members, roles, invitations, apps, plans, features, discounts, usage events, emails, automations, CRM fields, segments and contacts, affiliates, hosting environments, deployments, rollbacks, secrets, custom domains, add-ons, scheduler jobs, developer databases, webhooks, integrations and billing.
* **The Meridian CLI**: developer database creation, migrations, resets and credential requests.
* **AI agents on the [MCP server](/mcp-server)**: every tool that writes.
* **The AI assistant**: the plans, features, events and changelog entries it creates on your behalf.
* **Meridian itself**: Shopify compliance webhooks, support sessions, organization data exports and database backup downloads.

Each entry shows the person or system behind it, the time, a summary, and the resource it touched with its identifier. Entries made from the CLI, by Horizon, or during a Meridian support session say so under the summary.

Reads, previews and report runs are not changes and are not recorded. Changes to a member's own account, such as a password change or a new passkey, belong to that person rather than to the organization and stay out of every organization's log.

## Filtering and browsing

Filter by **resource** (only the families your log actually holds are offered) and by **who**: team members, or Meridian and the assistant. The log is paged newest first; use the arrows in the footer to move through it.

## What is never stored

The log holds identifiers and metadata only. It never records a secret value, a token, a request body or an email address other than the actor's. Entries are append-only: nothing in the log is edited or deleted after the fact. When a person's data is erased, the IP address and browser details on their entries are cleared while the entries themselves stay, so the history remains complete without identifying them.
