# Event create

Ask the AI Assistant to create an event and it drafts a usage [event](/introduction-6) in your app's Usage catalog from your description.

## What it does

Describe the action you want to meter and the assistant drafts an event with a name, a key, and a unit. Like every [action](/introduction-8), it asks you to **confirm** first.

The event is created for you to review under **Usage → Events**. Report it from your app with the [SDK](/events)'s `track`, and, only if you want to bill on it, give it terms (included quantity, overage rate, capped amount) on a plan in the [Plan Builder](/create-a-plan).
