# Overview

The overview is a what-changed feed, not a static snapshot: the movements across the App Store since the last few daily crawls.

## Store-wide KPIs

| KPI | Note |
| - | - |
| **Active apps** | Listings currently published |
| **Average rating** | Across apps with **ten or more reviews**, so a single five-star review doesn't distort it |
| **Built for Shopify** | How many carry the badge, and what share of active apps that is |
| **Reviews / 30 days** | Recent review volume, with the all-time total behind it |

## First page moves

The apps that **entered or left the top 24** of a category (page one of the search results) over the recent window, with how many days each had held page one.

This is the most actionable thing on the screen. An app entering page one in your category is a competitor whose listing or ranking just improved; one leaving is an opening.

## Pricing moves

Plan and price changes taken from listing change logs: plans added or removed, prices changed, trials added. Competitor pricing is normally something you'd have to check by hand, one listing at a time.

## Reading it well

The overview covers a recent window rather than all history. It answers "what should I look at today". For one app's whole story use the [explorer](/market-intel-explorer); for a category's day-by-day movement use [Rankings](/market-intel-rankings).
