# Introduction

Market Intel is Meridian's index of the public Shopify App Store: every published listing, re-crawled daily. Use it to see what changed across the store, to research the apps you compete with, and to track the categories you're ranked in.

Every screen says when its data was last updated and how many apps it covers, so you're never reading a stale snapshot without knowing it.
