# Sessions

A session is an active sign-in to Meridian. From your account security settings you can see where you're signed in and end sessions you don't recognize.

## Active sessions

The sessions list shows each active session with when it was created and last used. Meridian keeps **one active browser session per account**: signing in on a new browser ends the previous one automatically. [CLI sessions](/cli-sessions) are listed separately and are not affected by browser sign-ins.

## Ending a session

* **End one session** to sign that device out immediately.
* **End all other sessions** to keep your current one and revoke every other, including CLI tokens.

Changing your password also ends all your other sessions. See [Password](/password).

## Login history

Every sign-in attempt on your account, successful or not, is recorded beside your sessions. See [Login history](/login-history).
