# Subscription plans comparison

Every plan is priced per app per month. Each app gets the full platform; the tiers differ on capacity, team size and support.

A plan limit is a hard ceiling: at the limit, the action that would exceed it is refused, and raising it means moving to Pro or Enterprise. An app that outgrows its included hosting moves to a [hosting upgrade](/add-ons) (Medium or Large) without changing its plan.

## What happens at a limit

Monthly allowances reset at the start of each calendar month. Object counts (segments, reports, discounts, custom fields, tracked keywords, affiliate programs and members) are a standing number, so deleting one frees its slot immediately.

| Meridian SDK requests | The developer-facing API answers the app's calls with a plan-limit error. Your app decides what to do with it, see [SDK errors](/sdk-errors). |
| Meridian MCP requests | MCP tools scoped to that app answer with a plan-limit error. Tools that touch no app (docs, whoami, listing your apps) keep working. |
| Pub/Sub requests | Shopify webhooks are still received and held, not processed or forwarded to your app yet. They are delivered in order, as many as the allowance covers, as soon as the allowance resets or the plan is upgraded. The Pub/Sub screen shows how many are held. However many arrive, none is dropped for size; a delivery still held after 30 days is discarded, since Shopify's own retries gave up long before and replaying a weeks-old webhook would do more harm than good. Shopify's privacy webhooks (customers/data\_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) are never held: Shopify requires them to be handled whatever your plan. |

Owners get an email, and everyone in the organization an in-app notification, when one of an app's monthly allowances passes **80%**, **95%** and **100%**. Each of those is sent once per app, per allowance, per month. Notifications only exist where the plan sets a number, so a Pro or Enterprise app hears nothing about the allowances its plan leaves unmetered.
