Meridian is the operating system for Shopify app developers and agencies. Instead of stitching together separate tools for hosting, customer management, email marketing, analytics, and developer tooling, Meridian brings every piece of your workflow into one platform — from the first line of code to growing your install base.

The six pillars of Meridian

Meridian is organized into six capability areas. Each one solves a distinct problem in the Shopify app developer lifecycle, and all six share a single app context so data flows between them automatically.

Build

The Build pillar gives you everything you need to ship a better app. The Plan Builder lets you define your app’s pricing plans, features, and billing events. The Developer Library provides UI components, starter templates, and third-party integrations purpose-built for Shopify apps. Shopify API Alerts notifies you whenever Shopify changes an API that your app depends on, so you never get caught off guard by a breaking change.

Deploy

The Deploy pillar handles hosting and infrastructure. Connect your GitHub repository, create environments (production, staging, or custom), and trigger deployments directly from the Meridian dashboard. Each environment gets its own secrets management, so credentials never leak between stages.

Grow

The Grow pillar is your built-in go-to-market engine. The CRM tracks every merchant who installs your app, their transaction history, and their segment membership. Email Marketing lets you send campaigns and lifecycle emails to those merchants. Automations let you trigger actions — like a welcome email or a churn warning — based on customer events without writing backend code.

App Store

The App Store pillar gives you visibility into how your app performs on the Shopify App Store. Track your ranking and category position, monitor competitor apps, review submission readiness, and manage customer reviews — all without leaving Meridian.

Learn

The Learn pillar offers structured courses and certification programs designed specifically for Shopify app development. Complete courses to sharpen your skills, and earn certifications you can display on your Developer Directory profile.

Directory

The Directory pillar manages your public presence as a Shopify app developer. Your Profile is a public-facing page that showcases your apps and certifications. The Leads section captures inbound inquiries from merchants who find you in the directory.

How the pillars work together

The pillars are designed to feed each other. A merchant installs your app → Deploy registers the event → CRM creates a customer record → Automations sends a welcome email → Plan Builder enforces their plan limits → App Store tracks the install in your analytics. You configure each pillar once per app, and the data flows automatically.
