The commissions ledger is every amount an affiliate has earned, why, and whether it’s been paid.
The four types
How they’re minted
A nightly sweep reads each referred store’s transactions and mints commissions incrementally, applying the rule that resolves for that affiliate. In doing so it:
- skips refunds,
- honours the attribution window,
- checks the minimum plan value gate,
- filters by which revenue components qualify,
- applies gross or net revenue as the program says,
- and stops when a duration window ends.
The whole ledger is idempotent: re-running the sweep never double-counts a transaction, which is what makes an incremental nightly job safe to retry.
The list
Affiliate, type, program, store, date, amount and status, searchable by affiliate or store, filterable by type. The date and amount headers sort the whole ledger: one click on amount surfaces the largest commissions first, a second reverses the order, a third returns to newest first. The sort survives search and filter changes and lives in the URL, so a ranked view can be shared. Above it: earned all-time excluding cancelled, and outstanding, earned but not yet in a payout.
Statuses
- Outstanding: earned, not yet aggregated into a payout.
- In payout: attached to a payout. It is frozen once the payout is requested, processing or paid.
- Cancelled: voided by you. It stays on the ledger as a cancelled row rather than disappearing, and drops out of the earned total.
Adjustments
Add custom commission covers the cases rules can’t: a bonus you promised, a correction, a goodwill payment. Cancel voids a commission that shouldn’t have been minted. Both are deliberate, visible rows. The ledger is an audit trail, so nothing is edited in place.
You can cancel an outstanding commission or one in a pending payout. Cancelling removes it from that payout and recalculates the pending amount. Commissions in requested, processing or paid payouts cannot be cancelled. Any recovery of a past payment must be handled separately, without rewriting its payout record.
