A group is a named tier (Gold partners, agency partners, launch crew) that gives a subset of members their own rates without rewriting the program.
Field-by-field inheritance
A group overrides the program’s rules field by field. Anything you leave as program default keeps inheriting, so a group that only changes the revenue share still follows the program’s duration, minimum plan value and revenue basis.
That’s what makes tiers maintainable: change the program’s payout basis once and every group that didn’t override it follows.
Creating one
Name it, then set only the rules that differ. The card shows each group with its member count, and a group that overrides nothing says so (inherits all program rules) rather than looking configured.
How it resolves
Most specific wins: a member’s custom override beats their group, which beats the program default. A member with no group and no override is on the program rules.
Moving a member between groups changes which rules apply to their future commissions. Commissions already minted are not recalculated. The ledger records what was earned under the rules in force at the time.
Deleting one
Deleting a group returns its members to the program rules. Their history is untouched. Last modified on August 21, 2026
